This book ‘A Day in the Land of Barelwism’ is an English rendering of the Urdu work titled ‘Bareilly ke Bazaar Mein’ by Mawlana Fuzail Ahmed Nasiri, who is the Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Muhammad Anwar Shah [founded by Mawlana Anzar Shah Kashmiri, the son of the great scholar of Hadith Mawlana Anwar Shah Kashmiri (Allah have mercy on them)] in Deoband.
This is a brief travelogue exploring the city of Bareilly through the lens of history, peeking into the activities of Deobandi elders in Bareilly. The author also takes us through the old Deobandi institutions of Bareilly as well giving an account of how Barelwism spread in the city; it also contains information about the other unheard sects of innovations other than Barelwism that exists in the ‘Den of Bid’ah‘ – Bareilly.
